Under Construction

After 10,000 years of neglegence and procrastination. I am once again creating a personal website.

    It is developing slowly

In college, the importance of a professional-looking and easily-accessible personal website was clearly emphasized during every portfolio review. However, the kind of site we were supposed to be creating was totally up to our own discretion.

In practice, "Yourname Dotcom!" was usually a digital business card that frontloaded an embed of your latest (non-NDA) work directly onto the index page to not waste a recruiter's precious, precious time.

Inevitably, this led to a proponderance of very similar workmanline portfolios hosted on "Squarespace" or "Wix" or some other glorified bloggin platform that made updating a chore (but a perfunctory manageable one)(mine was on tumblr)

Attempts were made to create sites litke this as I tried out different brands for myself. I've experimented with Wordpress sites in 2011 and 2013 and 2020 (I really wanted to make it work) but the ease and convenience and shiny mobile-friendly CMS's never really clicked with me.

I want to get my (digital) hands dirty. I want to build an island away from sociamedia and "artificiaIntelligence" where I can be myself and copy-paste code from Stack Overflow into CodePen until everything explodes

Appropriately, I would like to thank the developers of Zonelets for creating the Neocities CMS this site is currently run on, The creator of "Zonelots", the fork of Zonelets that supports the tagging and indexing system I'm currently using, Jeti, the creator of all oif the pixel fonts I'm currently using. and Neocities for providing the free hosting until I spring for paid subscription.

    And readers like you <3
